Dress: Fillyboo Maternity
Always the quintessential late comber, I had this post scheduled for my 38th week update, however this past week has somehow gotten away from me and I haven’t been feeling so hot. Since I stepped into my 39th week over the weekend I decided to just share whats been going on thus far.
How Far Along: 39 weeks and two days!!!
Size of Baby: According to the baby apps, he’s the size of a pumpkin! A freaking pumpkin!!! Thats insane!!!
Gender: Still all boy hehe!!!
Name: We are still undecided but theres one name in particular that really stands out for my husband, I think its pretty cute too but were waiting to see what he looks likes.
Movement: I still have a crazy little nut inside my stomach. It looks like an alien moving around in there…I feel like he’s constantly break dancing haha.
Cravings: Still no food cravings. I do have to admit my sweet tooth has been a bit stronger these last couple of weeks, I have to have something sweet everyday. Although who am I kidding I have to have something sweet all the time, even when I wasn’t pregnant. However before I could say no after one cookie now I think I could eat an entire plate full.
Body Changes: It is absolutely incredible what our bodies are capable of going through as a woman. Every morning I wake and up my stomach feels like it has grown several inches. I keep thinking how can it possibly keep growing but some how it continues too.
Pressures or Pains: So everyone keeps telling me how great and easy my pregnancy has been (including my obgyn) considering I have so many medical issues and was fresh out of the hospital after a procedure went horribly wrong just a few months before I got pregnant. With that being said, I am incredibly thankful and feel so blessed to have 1) even been able to get pregnant and 2) my pregnancy has gone as smoothly as it has. However, at 39 weeks and counting I officially have those pregnancy aches and pains. My little guy is sitting super low and pinching the nerves in my back, groin and pelvis. I literally could hardly walk or lift anything the past couple of days because the pain was so sharp in my back. Still, I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
Pregnancy Symptoms: Aches and pains haha. Nerve pinching and a quick almost lighting like shock in my groin area that happens through out the day. I’ve pretty much had cramping throughout this entire pregnancy that comes and goes.
Dilating: I had a check up today and my doctor said I am officially dilating at 1cm. He said that could honestly change at any moment but my lining was still intact, not thin yet. Baby’s head is still super low, my doctor was like whoah this little guy is sooooooo low, he’s ready. People have been telling me I’ve carried low through out my pregnancy and I never really realized a drop in his positing. Guess he’s been ready to come out for the last month or so haha. Were ready when you are baby!!!
Wedding Rings On or Off: Still on
Moodiness: Fortunately, well I suppose more fortunate for my husband, I haven’t really been all that moody or excessively emotional. I feel more stressed and anxious than anything. I mentioned before that we are completely renovating our new house or I guess I should say waiting too since city approval is the slowest process EVER! I am so anxious to get into our new place and start setting it up but it seems like its so far away from happening. My husband and I are incredibly lucky and fortunate to have my parents since we have been staying with them during this process, however I am completely missing out on the whole nesting thing. Once we get the green light to start construction on our place we were told it should only be a couple of months before were able to move in. With that being said, I haven’t wanted to set up a nursery at my parents just to move it again in a couple of months. I set up a little space for him in our room since he will be in a bassinet for awhile anyways. And I’m doing a whole lot of inspiration pinning on Pinterest until I can actually get into our place and make all of my visions come together. I’ll keep you guys updated, maybe do some before and after home renovation posts.
